Factoid: Sherri designed the original Unleash the Night cover.

Some fans have said that Nicolette is very different in this book than she's been in the past. The key thing to remember is that Nicolette is first and foremost a bear, and just like any animal there are those she likes and those she doesn't. She has been cold from the beginning such as in the case of throwing Vane out. But in Vane's case, she liked him. In the case of Wren, she hates him. He isn't right in their world and like any animal, she attacks him. It's just the nature of hte beast.

A case of "author's brain not included." Maggie's house is described as a renovated condo and a cottage. It is, in fact, both. In New Orleans, this is a common occurrence since condos are often made out of existing houses. Sherri didn't think about the fact that some people think of condos only as apartments since in the south the other kind are more common.
